BlueCity's Blued Hits 50,000 Mark on Appointments for HIV Testing
In addition to raising awarenss for HIV, BlueCity has also adopted measures to fight against the ongoing Covid-19 crisis.

BlueCity (Nasdaq: BLCT), Asia's top LGBTQ platform, announced that it has facilitated 50,000 online appointments for HIV testing at more than 200 partnered testing establishments in China as of 2019. The announcement was made in the company's very first Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report and Corporate Social Responsibility Report (2019).
"We are thrilled to issue our first CSR and ESG reports today, though a strong commitment to social responsibility has been rooted in our brand DNA since day one," said Baoli Ma, founder, chairman, and CEO of BlueCity.
"We have always believed in the power of technology and understood the responsibility tied to it. We will continue to improve our products and governance to meet the needs of the underserved LGBTQ global community with both commercial services and our public interest initiatives."
The company said it has recorded over 10 million page views for HIV-prevention content on BlueCity's platforms. BlueCity's staff has spent over 12,300 hours of volunteer service dedicated to HIV-prevention.
In addition to raising awareness for HIV, BlueCity has also adopted measures to fight against the ongoing Covid-19 crisis. The company said it partnered with not-for-profit organizations in countries such as South Korea, India, Japan, the Philippines, Vietnam to donate much-needed medical supplies or conduct Covid-19-related training and education.
BlueCity operates the largest LGBTQ online platform in Asia, Blued. The app had more than 6 million active users as of March 2020. Of those, 42% were daily active users. Blued has connected more than 49 million registered users worldwide
While the majority of the users on the app are men, the company is making strides to expand its female user base. In addition to gay dating social features, BlueCity offers various services including HIV awareness and prevention, medical consultation and health services, and family planning.
